[She pauses for a moment to think this over. Rin leans back into her chair, still having not eaten yet, and ponders the spots in Fuyuki, or even immediately outside of it, that could handle such a blow. Because it's a city there are... few spots, but still she can think of deserted areas, parks, and other likely places such a power could do the minimum damage possible.

Looks like they'll be using the rest of her day for shopping and a tour. If she and Mordred get separated she'd like for the servant to know where to lead the battle to in case of an emergency.]

I know some spots. I'll take you to them today.

Good. Maybe you are a competent Master after all.

[ Having finished her own food, she reaches across the table to take Rin's, casual as anything. ]

You'll have to buy clothes first, though. I'll dematerialize when we go out, but only this once. [ She seems to think this is some Generous Act that Rin should be pleased about, instead of just what's expected of a Servant. ] Once we establish our battlefield, I want to explore the modern era. Take me to places you think are interesting. [ Demand, demand, demand. ]

[Rin stabs her fork into her half of sausage patty to keep Mordred from taking it.]

That one is mine.

What? No. Give it here.

[ What part of "Servant" does Mordred not understand? All of it, apparently. She is gonna fight for that patty. ]

Then you'll have had all the meat! Just leave this half to me!

[Rin moves her plate out of Mordred's reach.

Which doesn't have to be far, because... y'know.]

Then you should have made more! I'm still hungry, dammit!

[ Yes, it's out of her reach... but not if she physically climbs (slides, really) onto the table to get it. Hopefully she doesn't end up flashing Rin with her outfit or something. ]

S—s—stop that! You're indecent!

[Rin's hand flies out to hold Mordred's face away from her plate. Then Rin quickly turns her head, which is now as red as a tomato, and stuffs the sausage in her mouth.

TAKE THAT YOU SHITTY KNIGHT.]

At least I'm not incompetent— o-oi!

[ Mordred might have freakish strength, but Rin has the element of surprise. She blinks when the hand hits her face, and by then it's too late to stop Rin from eating the sausage. ]

Master... you're seriously trying to piss me off, huh? [ Yes, she looks very fearsome, sprawled on the table with Rin's hand pressed against her face. ]

Look, we're going to be out the rest of the day, and I need my strength! To keep you materialized, and to walk around the city! I'm going to be spending plenty of money on your clothes and, most likely, lunch. So why can't I have my breakfast if I am going to give you those things?

[Slowly she removes her hand from Mordred's face. Her arms guard her plate as she pouts at the Servant so rudely perched upon her table.]

[ She grumbles, but: ] Ugh, fine.

[ Get used to this protest->grumble->agree cycle, Rin. She climbs off the table, and after stretching a bit, gives Rin an expectant look. ]

We're going then, right? Go put on some clothes.

I haven't even been able to touch my eggs yet, you stubborn ox. Let me eat.

[She didn't even get half as many eggs as you, Mordred. Good heavens. Rin tries to quickly eat and be polite at the same time. She sips her tea down as well. When she's done she collects all the dishes, and tosses the last slice of toast at Mordred before rinsing the dishes in the sink.]

Then hurry up!

[ At least she got another piece of toast out of the argument. She chews on it thoughtfully as Rin takes care of the dishes, making absolutely no move to help. ]

If you think you can just act normally from now on, then you're really not prepared for a war. [ Not even the Holy Grail War — just any war in general. ]

So what, you want me to act different? I've been preparing for this war for ten years. I know that pulling out of normal activities, especially as someone from a well known mage family, paints a target on me immediately. Going back to school and pretending as if nothing happened is the best way to buy us time while we try to figure out who else is participating in this.

[Rin sets the dishes down in the sink, and leaves without much fanfare. She doesn't care if Mordred follows her or not to continue the argument.]

[ She does follow after Rin, with an annoyed expression (of course) and with both hands behind her head. ]

I want you to realize you don't have to worry about that crap. You have me.

[ "Rely on me", is what she's saying, but in a roundabout, petulant manner. ]

Even if someone figures out you're involved, they'll have to get through me to hurt you. And that won't happen. [ Overconfidence, maybe, but she does give off all the readings of a very strong Servant. It's not without merit. ] Our enemies will come to us, and I'll cut them all down.

Then maybe I should put it this way.

[Rin reaches her room. If Mordred decides to continue to this she'll learn the lesson again she should have learned last night: stay out of a person's room if you don't want to see them naked.

She starts to unbutton her disheveled top, and yawns before continuing her speech.]

I want to go back to school. I have every intention of winning this War and having a life after. Putting everything on hold means I'm scared that won't be the case. I'll stop going if it's necessary, but until then I'm going to trust in you that together we'll be able to handle anything that comes our way.

[Her top drops to the floor with a soft thud, and she hooks her thumbs in the waistband of her pants so she can shed those too.]

[ See, that's a nice speech and all — Mordred's actually a little moved that Rin trusts in her and all — but when she glances over toward her Master to answer, she freezes instead. Yeah, she just learned that lesson the hard way. ]

W-w-w-what! Don't just take your clothes off, idiot! I'm still standing here!

[ It's her room, Mordred, she can do whatever she wants. Red right through to the tips of her ears, she stumbles backwards a bit, then turns around. ]

Are you some kind of pervert Master? Quit it!

Moron, you're the one who walked into my room. Now shut the door behind you. If you want this to go quicker you'll get me my hairbrush from the bathroom.

[WHICH BATHROOM, RIN? THERE'S MORE THAN ONE. Either way her pants fall to the floor, and she kicks them to the pile that Mordred made last night with her sweater and skirt. Today she'll be wearing something similar. Despite the cold weather she'll still be wearing a skirt, but hey. At least she has those tall socks.]

You're the moron, moron!

[ No, the moron is definitely Mordred. She goes off to look for the bathroom — purely as a coping management for her embarrassment, not because she's following orders or anything — and somehow does manage to find the hairbrush after a while.

Which she then proceeds to chuck at Rin from the bedroom door, probably hitting her in the head with it. ]

[There's a particularly girly yelp followed by a deeper growl of frustration from Rin upon getting smacked in the head with the brush.]

Saber!

[Rin fires a warning shot of gandr by Saber's head. It hits the wall behind her causing a bit of destruction, but it was clearly meant to miss.]

Don't hit your Master! Who the hell do you think has to buy you clothes, idiot!?

You're taking too long!

[ How the hell was she ever a knight... a mystery. Her ~~cockiness~~ magic resistance being what it is, she doesn't even flinch at the gandr shot. ]

It's not like I enjoy being stuck indoors. You mages are all so stuffy... it's totally unbearable!

[Rin takes the brush in hand and stomps out of the room while she pulls it through her thick dark hair.]

Go run around the yard, then! I'm not your jester. I'm not here to keep you entertained.

But it's boring alone!

[ Yep. Needy. Even as she whines, she trails after Rin, like a dog (or a cat) looking for attention. ]

You summoned me, so take responsibility! A king shouldn't have to deal with being bored!

Oh just bite me, Saber. You're impatient and childish. You can't even keep yourself occupied for ten minutes!

[How the hell will they ever live through a strategy where Mordred might have to WAIT for someone or something? Answer: they won't. Mordred will get them both slaughtered.]

Tch— and you're a shitty Master who can't deal with her Servant properly!

[ They're definitely going to get killed. But you know what, fine. She's going to dematerialize and go sit on the roof until Rin calls for her. ]

[It takes another ten minutes. Rin's hair gets pulled up into twin ponytails, a small amount of makeup is put on, and a blood red coat with a rustic orange scarf goes over her warm top and short skirt.

~~Rin why are you wearing a skirt in the cold~~. Rin won't call for Mordred. She'll simply begin leaving the estate without her.]
