[Mordred's threats against her currently hold little weight, as does her small stature. Ever since they resolved the first time the Servant had tried to kill her, she's pretty much taken all threats in stride.

Rin doesn't respond too much while leading Mordred along. For now she tries to keep the conversation focused and clinical which probably bores Mordred, but at least she points out strategic areas and landmarks.]

[ It's... well, it is somewhat boring. But the strange thing is, she actually does seem to listen. She doesn't say much, but she makes a thoughtful noise whenever Rin points out anywhere interesting. Even if she didn't give a damn about anyone in it, Mordred did lead her own army at one point — she isn't terrible at this when she has to be.

Eventually, though, her stomach interrupts them to rumble, loudly. ]

Ah. I guess that's that. [ She smirks. ] We're done with strategy for today, Master. It's time for lunch. Then you can rest before we go out again tonight.

[erbe]

[Oh. That's when Rin finally lets go of Mordred's wrist. A small bit of color reaches Rin's cheeks, but she's quick to hide it by continuing to step ahead.]

There's a small restaurant not far from here. It's not expensive, and they're pretty generous with their portions.

[bloodings]

Good. As a Servant and a king, I expect nothing but the best.

[ And quantity > quality, in her eyes. Blame having to deal with Gawain for so long. ]

After that, tell me more about yourself, Master. It's easier to bond over food. [ ... She pulled that out of her ass, yeah. She's barely bonded with anyone in her life. ] Even if it's temporary, we're partners for now. I want to know about you.

[erbe]

I'm not sure what kind of things you want to know.

[Rin's never been good about sharing about herself since a magus needs to be so isolated. When the restaurant comes in view Rin points it out. Looks like a small Ramen shop with a frying station for takoyaki.]

[bloodings]

What kind of person you are. I know about your wish [ or lack thereof ], but that's not enough. Things like... your favourite animal, or if you've ever used a sword.

[ What in the fuck do those have to do with each other? Nothing. Casually, she adds: ]

Ah, and whatever you're thinking about ordering, double it. [ Miserly Master >:V ]

Is learning about me important, or do you just want to know? We might not even be partners for very long.

[Rin orders a couple's special and then some extra sides for Mordred. She'll get cheap extra stuff like miso soup and extra rice. Though Rin also orders an appetizer of gyoza which she hopes to enjoy. Mordred better not eat ALL the food.

Once they've been seated and have their order in, Rin pulls out a napkin to place delicately in her lap.]

[bloodings]

[ Mordred's going to eat all the food. ]

I just want to know. Is there a problem with that?

[ She looks pouty at even being asked. Don't make her admit she kind of gives a shit already. ]

[erbe]

No.

[Rin tucks a lock of hair behind her ear as the waitress sets down tea in front of them both for now.]

My favorite color is red, my hobbies include polishing jewels and learning magic. I do well in school, and keep my personal life out of school non-existent so it's easier to be a mage. Aside from that is anything else?

[bloodings]

[ At least this time, Mordred doesn't burn her fool mouth drinking the tea too fast. She leans back in her chair like a delinquent with one arm slung over the back. ]

All of that sounds boring. Don't you do anything fun? [ Don't just judge people's lives like that?? ] No wonder you're so weird.

[erbe]

Are you kidding me? Polishing jewels is fun. Seeing something dull and lifeless shine brighter and look even more brilliant than before because of the work you put into it is great! And learning is incredibly satisfying. You've probably never used magic, but to be able to perfect an incredibly difficult spell and pull it off is thrilling. Accomplishment is exciting.

[It's the biggest thing her father would give her praise for. Even now she endeavors and struggles to become better in his memory. Though she does miss being praised for her triumphs.]

[bloodings]

Of course I've never used magic. I dislike magi as a rule.

[ Which is purely because of her mother — and Merlin, to an extent, though he was more troublesome than anything else. Still, some of Rin's enthusiasm seems to get through to her, and she makes a noise of acknowledgement. ]

But I can agree about accomplishing things. Though in my case, it'd be more about killing a strong opponent. [ She takes a sip of her tea, sets it back down on the table. ] ... I shouldn't have to ask, but you've done that too, right? [ Killed people. Mordred might not want to get innocents involved, but Masters are another matter. ]

[erbe]

[Immediately her enthusiasm disappears. Rin's expression turns solemn, and her eyes avoid Mordred's.]

I have not.

[An honest answer. Excuses would make her sound weak. In all honesty she doesn't want the blood of others on her hands. She'd rather take on the near insurmountable task of simply getting rid of all the servants.]

[bloodings]

[ She immediately groans, loudly. ]

Great. Of course I'd get such an inexperienced Master. [ That D-rank luck at work. ] ... Well, it's not a complete loss. We're compatible in other ways.

[ Avoiding civilians, Rin's wish not contradicting her own... it could be worse. But she does still have an important question. ]

But if another Master attacks, tell me you're at least prepared to defend yourself. My job is to fight the other Servants, not worry about my idiot Master laying down to die.

[erbe]

Yes. These days self defense is absolute essential for magi. Spending all my money on gems wasn't because they looked pretty, moron. It's because expensive jewels can store large amounts of mana. I've been siphoning mana into them for ten years. I told you. I'm prepared.

[And just to get her to shut up, Rin stuffs a pan fried dumpling in Mordred's face.]

[bloodings]

Wh—

[ She likes food but don't just stuff it in her mouth... the fuck. With a grumpy expression, she chews, swallows, then scowls deeper. ]

I'll believe it when I see it. [ What an immature Master... thinks Mordred, the most mature person on the planet. ] And don't call me a moron, moron. You're the one who hasn't been in a war before.

[erbe]

And how is that supposed to be my fault, idiot?

[She's about to go into more detail on how Mordred is a complete dickbag, but the food arriving cuts her off. Two large bowls of ramen are set in front of them along with a plate of takoyaki balls that is set in the middle. Mordred gets a hefty bowl of rice, and a smaller bowl of miso soup.]

[bloodings]

[ Of course, she starts off by going for the food that isn't entirely hers — she dumps the whole plate of takoyaki into her ramen bowl as she talks. ]

It's not. But it means you don't really know how you'll react. [ Surprisingly astute, for Mordred. ] Anyway, it's fine if you can just stay alive. I'll finish off the Master after dealing with the Servant.

[erbe]

H—hey! Some of those were mine! You got the rice and another bowl of soup, you — you— fatty!

[SHE IS PAYING FOR ALL OF THIS AND SHE CAN'T EVEN HAVE A GOOD TIME?]

[bloodings]

I'm the one who's going to be fighting. The spoils go to me.

[ They're not spoils if Rin bought them, Mordred. She shoots Rin a grin that's meant to be a challenge. ]

If you don't like it, Master, then do something about it. I'm a king, not some obedient dog.

[erbe]

No. [She stands, stepping away from the table.]

Instead you're a classless mutt. You take, and take, and take. My mana, to stay materialized. My money, to clothe you. And now my food, despite all you have already been given.

Eat it all, Saber. Have your fill and meet me back home.

[She slams down some money to cover the food charges, and turns to leave Mordred by herself.]

[bloodings]

[ She just stares. Is Rin seriously... yes, yes she is. ]

Wait, idiot. [ Mordred stands, reaches across the table to grab her sleeve. ] You don't think the Holy Grail is a fair trade for all of that?

[ Most magi would give up anything, after all. Rin not having a wish shouldn't take away from the value of it. She sighs. ]

Sit back down. I'd rather share than have you get attacked on the way home. [ See, she cares a little. ]

[erbe]

[Rin yanks her arm free, and puts on her jacket. She turns so that Mordred can't see her face — at least not entirely.]

If you'd like have it boxed up and follow me, but I'm leaving now. It's the middle of the day and the city is busy. I'm going home until nightfall.

[bloodings]

[ ... ]

You really are a complete fool.

[ She inhales her ramen in just a few seconds, then stuffs a few balls (heh) in her mouth as she trails after Rin. The rest gets forgotten about. ]

Just don't act like this in a fight. You'll get us both killed. [ Since her fate is, for the most part, tied to Rin's — at least she's acknowledging that. She'd prefer not to find a new Master, even if this one is hard to deal with. ]

[erbe]

[There is absolutely no way Rin is leaving all that food there. It's one thing for Mordred to eat it all and then feel guilty after, but this? Rin turns around without speaking to Mordred, and address a waitress. In short time Rin has the rest of the meal in containers and bagged up. She shoves the bag into Mordred's arms and wordlessly leads the way out of the restaurant.

A fool, is she? Rin feels like this is important. This outrageous display has all been to bully Mordred into compromise, or at least feeling bad about her actions.]
