[ She immediately makes a disgruntled noise. ]

W-what? No! Don't suggest something so perverted sounding!

[ Because that was totally perverted. Mordred's just a prude, as always.

As punishment, she lobs an apple at the back of Rin's head. ]

[erbe]

[Ouch! That causes Rin to drop the spoon she was using to test the soup into the pot. Tohsaka whips around with a terrible glare directed straight at Mordred.]

You're an absolute menace, you know that?! Fine, yell at me, but stop trying to hurt me!

[Rin stomps over to Mordred, and shoves her shoulder.]

[bloodings]

I'm not seriously trying to hurt you! What fool would incapacitate their own Master?

[ She grumbles when Rin shoves her, but fortunately doesn't push back and put her through a wall. ]

You've been acting weird since this morning. It's annoying, so I'm making sure you know that it's annoying. [ By... hitting her in the head with an apple. Naturally. ]

[erbe]

So you bean me in the head with an apple? I'm going to have a bump, Saber. And you're distracting me. The food is going to burn. So pick up the apple, and stop assaulting your Master, okay?

[Tohsaka huffs, and returns to the food. The fillets get transferred to separate plates, and the egg gets rolled up and sliced. Each plate gets a few slices before being paired with a bowl of soup. Mordred's is larger. Maybe filling her up on the cheap soup will mean she won't try scarfing down every fish fillet in a two mile radius.]

[bloodings]

If you can't handle a bump, you're not ready for this war. Maybe you should start wearing a helmet?

[ Is that... a joke? Maybe.

Of course, the moment she sees the bowl of soup, she grabs it and starts slurping it down like a fucking animal. What are table manners, can you eat them? ]

[erbe]

Don't be impossibly thick, Saber. Any Master would be upset with their Servant attacking them.

[With Mordred devouring the soup like it's filled with her father's approval, Rin decides to let her be distracted as she moves the rest of the plated food to the table.

She'll sit down, and watch her partner annihilate the meal.]

[bloodings]

Think of it as training for the real thing.

[ Said between slurps as she follows Rin with a mouth half-full of soup. Some of it dribbles down onto her chin, unnoticed as she starts to devour her food instead. So, yeah, maybe the soup is a metaphor for her father's approval here. ]

Master. [ Suddenly serious. Yes, still with soup on her chin, and midway into ripping through her meal. ] I'm willing to follow along with your plans. But if any other Servants are from Camelot, then they're the priority. Got that? Most of us would fit into multiple classes, so don't go thinking it won't happen because you got a Saber.

[erbe]

[Rin allows Mordred's words to rest heavy over the dinner table as the serious mood settles in. Quietly she eats a small roll of egg thinking over her Servant's request.]

Well, it would be troublesome to let an enemy who knows your true name and origins.

[bloodings]

It's not just that. You could call it unfinished business.

[ And not just with her father. She hates Lancelot with a passion. She was the one to kill Gawain. There's some level of animosity between her and almost all the knights of Camelot, understandably. ]

A-anyway. I'm telling you now, so you don't end up giving an order that makes me hate you. [ Because she doesn't want to hate Rin. Shhh. ] Finding out Caster's identity should be a priority, especially. That's the only class that woman could be summoned into.

[erbe]

[Her eyes narrow as she tries to read Mordred's expression. What does that look mean?]

Who is "that woman," Mordred?

[Was it someone she saw in the dream?]

[bloodings]

Morgan.

[ There's none of the mix of love and hate she talks about her father with. It's pure, unfiltered loathing, almost unintentionally menacing with the sheer amount of anger she forces into the atmosphere between them. ]

My mother. There's no doubt she'll target me if she's summoned here. [ She clenches her jaw. ] I'll make her regret it. And you'll regret it too, Master, if you try to stop me.

[erbe]

Why would I?

[This side of Mordred is scary. The pure rage and hatred that oozes from her makes Rin sit back in her chair to put a little distance between the two. She didn't even feel this much animosity from Mordred when she threatened to kill her. From the pieces of the dream Tohsaka put together she can get why she hated her mother, but there is still much left unanswered about the situation that confuses her.]

In this war our enemies are shared.

[bloodings]

Masters can form alliances. Some even go behind their Servant's back. If you even think about doing that...

[ She's threatened to kill her once, as a test. The next time she does, it won't just be a threat.

She tears her last fillet in half, and some of the animosity dissipates. ]

... Well, I don't think you'd do that. But I'm warning you anyway, so don't complain if I take your head. [ How would that even work... ]

[erbe]

Saber, I made my alliance with you first. You'd have to do something really stupid, or ask for something completely unreasonable for me to go back on that. After all, who would want to betray their servant when they pulled the best card?

[Hmph! Rin goes back to eating as if everything she said was obvious and plain to see. When she's finished daintily eating she begins to collect her tableware to wash it in the sink.]

[bloodings]

Who knows? Magi are weird. That's why I don't trust any of you.

[ ... She says, sitting in Rin's house, eating her food. Yeah, no trust here. When Rin's finished, Mordred glances at her plates and frowns. ]

Man... you didn't even leave me any. [ You had more to start with you fuck. ]

[erbe]

I gave you more to start with, Saber. Didn't you notice?

[She frames it as being slightly hurt by the fact Mordred wasn't aware of the consideration Rin had for her. It's mostly an act to get the servant off her back about not giving up her breakfast, but she hopes it'll work.]

Though if you don't trust me maybe you shouldn't eat my food.

[Dishes rinsed. She's leaving the kitchen to prepare for class.]

[bloodings]

Tch. I watched you make it, so I know it's not poisoned or anything.

[ She sprawls out on the couch as she idly watches Rin. ]

Man... it's gonna be a boring day. We better get to fight something soon.

[erbe]

Eager to show off for me?

[She can't hang around the house forever. Rin could make lunch for herself later since she was up so early, but... No, Saber would only insist on eating it. Even if it's early she'll get ready for school and head over. Sticking round the house is only irritating her Saber further.

Reaching over the back of the couch Rin ruffles Mordred's hair before walking away to get everything ready to head out.]

[bloodings]

Yes! I mean, no!

A Servant's only use is fighting, so sitting around really pisses me off!

[ Grumble, grumble. She doesn't care what you think, Rin. ]

[erbe]

Aren't you coming with me to school? Or have you decided you're too good for cafeteria food?

[She's well aware Mordred has no idea what cafeteria food is like in Japan, but Rin cannot help but tease her after all that yelling. Mordred... can be a little charming. Sometimes.

Rin begins slipping on her shoes and deep red overcoat.]

[erbe]

[The battle started out rough, but that's only because they both insisted on trying to move the fight away from the bustling heart of the city into the desolate park where the Civic Center used to be. It was tough for them to regain the ground they lost while retreating to the park, but in the end they prevailed. The enemy Servant bested, and the Master hidden away in shadows to easily retreat, they get to head home knowing they're both one step closer to the Grail.

Because of the battle's rocky start Rin has to be carried, and both of them show scrapes and bruises. Scuffed up, battered, but not broken. In fact the moment they step into the safety of the Tohsaka mansion Rin begins to laugh. Mordred will feel her whole body sigh in relief.]

We did it! Sure we didn't see who the Master was, but that's fine. One less Servant to worry about.

[bloodings]

[ Once the fight started, Mordred's entire mood changed. Far from an honourable, knightly confrontation, she'd taunted and insulted the other Servant even in death, even as her sword ran them through. They were beneath her, after all. The fact she had to use her Noble Phantasm against such a weakling was insulting enough — she could have won without it, given time, but the noise would have eventually attracted company. Better the damage to the park than civilians happening upon them.

She's annoyed about the Master getting away, but not enough to dampen her mood. When Rin laughs, Mordred does too, coming to a halt inside with her Master in her arms. ]

Now you should understand how strong I am, Master. [ She's grinning, but her tone is a little more serious. ] This is the power that overthrew my father. There's no way a Servant would be a match for it.

[ After a deliberate pause: ] ... Well, I guess you helped a little, too. You're not bad for a mage.

[erbe]

[The first couple comments from Mordred don't sit too well with Tohsaka. It makes her remember how nasty her servant could get. Proposing to Guinevere as a joke, hollering at the king, and doing all manner of low-blows to try and get her father's attention — But even so Rin isn't sure how to address it. So she waits, and sure enough Mordred cannot keep her mouth shut, and thankfully says something else worth focusing on.]

You think? You were the one who answered my call, after all! But I suppose it'll be a few more rounds before you can "trust me," right?

[Closely she watches her Servant's face. Mordred can be incredibly expressive, so sometimes the easiest way to know what is on her mind is to read her face. Though looking up at her means that messy hair, tousled from the battle, catches Rin's attention. The perfectionist in Tohsaka compels her to reach up, and begin to delicately put those locks back in place.]

[bloodings]

Tch. Maybe I took pity on the idiot trying to summon without a catalyst.

[ Implying Mordred would have known that... she's still grinning, though, so she's not serious. Until Rin teaches up to touch her hair, and then the grin fades into confusion. ]

What the hell are you doing? I'm not injured. [ She can't help blushing. Nobody except her mother has touched her face, and only to admire her own handiwork. So of course she covers it up with aggression. ] Don't touch me unless you want to get hit.

[erbe]

I was just fixing your hair. It got a little out of place.

[With a huff she rests herself against Mordred's chest and shoulder.]

Set me down on the sofa, and I'll take care of us.
