Details
Miss Tohsaka is a complicated young woman who finds it difficult to open up to others. Beyond that prickly (or impish) exterior is a young woman of versatility. While Miss Tohsaka can be both your devil and your angel, she can also be much more. A wealth of curiosity, willingness to try new things, and her own taste for variety means that she may just be able to scratch an itch or fill a niche that you just haven't been able to yet.
My Future PlansIs ambition Miss Tohsaka's middle name? It just might be. She intends to become well known in the community of Mages — hoping to live up to not only her father's legacy, but the legacy of her family's name. However, before that...
It seems like Miss Tohsaka is "in it to win it"! Our lovely bachelorette is determined to win the Game of our local resort. It seems she has a specific wish she wants granted, an ideal prize in mind, but so far she's been secretive as to what it is. Are you able to pry it from her plump little lips?
Rumor has it that Miss Tohsaka comes from a long pedigree of Mages, and was born with a rare ability. Aside from being a veritable super-battery of magical energy, she also has been raised as a mage for over ten years. How studious. Do you think any of that might have... other uses?
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and FoodUnfortunately Miss Tohsaka doesn't indulge in most hobbies that don't have a practical purpose. The tomes she reads are informational texts about magic, her gardening is for crafting potions, and her workouts are... you guessed it! To keep her combat ability up.
Perhaps you're the right person to intervene. Teach her to live a little! Let her hair down, and loosen up. How can an uptight girl like her actually win the Game if she's so closed off and guarded? Take her out for some fun, teach her a new hobby, or have her engage with yours!
Oh, dear. Miss Tohsaka's tastes are so varied that it's hard to pinpoint just one type of ideal! Big, muscly men — soft, curvy women — or even someone in that sweet androgynous spot... What really catches her eye is a challenge, or an easy win. Put her to the test or roll over for her.
Do be kind and make sure to praise her. As someone who lost her father early, poor Miss Tohsaka has been starved for validation. Or, perhaps... you could indulge her on the opposite end of the spectrum? Such an arrogant girl deserves a little punishment, and as much as she punishes herself some help might be appreciated. If not, she may just end up punishing you, and making you her prey.

Kind of vanilla, but fun to tease. Would like exploring more of what can make him squirm, and hear him beg.
★★★★☆
Exciting and experimental. I guess I do like girls too, huh? Maybe we can incorporate magic next time.
★★★☆☆
Interesting. Curious about his body. Am I... a furry? Is that what you call it?
★★☆☆☆
Annoying, but workable. Mediocre, but because she's too vanilla and not entirely on technique.
★☆☆☆☆
Absolutely atrocious. Wish I could give negative stars. No more to say.

he's glad for the substance in his belly. helps it feel a little less odd as it turns at her words. he knows a thing or two about facing a dangerous responsibility. it was the last foolish thing he'd done in his life, and still even now he has to hope it might have accounted for something.
he has, at the very, very least, removed himself from the equation. striker would have no reason to seek anyone else close to him, now that he's no longer there to torment. ]
That last mage... That's the same one you spoke about, in your question?
[ some things aren't adding up. ]
Are you hoping to use your wish here to keep the Grail from being tainted?

["I just want to win," had been her little phrase for a majority of the Grail War. No wish, no regrets, no thoughts about anything other than victory. Because if she has to wish something into existence, that means she's unable to do it with her own power. And admittance of defeat in its own way. No — it wasn't until she learned the truth about her sister, and the horrors that adoptive family put her through, that Rin had decided there was something worth changing.
Tohsaka makes sure both of their teacups are well filled before grabbing her own and bringing it to her mouth. A gently exhale blown upon the surface of the liquid to cool it before she takes a sip.]
Are you truly content just existing, Marco?
cw: suicidal ideation
If it were up to me, Miss Rin, I wouldn't exist at all.
[ it's a very plain tone for a statement that would otherwise hold some weight. but he had already told her his circumstances the other day; dead, with all he had to live for either gone along with him, or better off without his presence pulling in more bad luck. ]
But I've been told the house doesn't like to follow rules, and they'd just bring me back again.
[ he thumbs at a crumb he feels lingering at the corner of his lips. ]
So here I am.
[ existing, as it were. for what reason? more atoning? but there are no twilights here. he'd had plenty of quiet nights to think it all through, and all he isn't any closer to an answer. ]

[Mostly because she cannot imagine it herself. Not having a goal or ambition seems so alien to her. Tohsaka is a driven person. Perhaps it's to avoid dwelling on the past. If she's always looking to the future then she doesn't have time to lament her failings or wallow in "what might have been".
She takes a bite of her scone while waiting for him to reply. Perhaps "content" was the wrong word originally. It seems he is more in a state of resignation. Before he has a chance to answer the server comes by with the tiered sandwich plate. It looks much like a tiered cupcake display: fanciful gold plated structuring holds decoratively floral porcelain. Atop which set little sandwiches that have the crust delicately removed and portioned into small rectangles that may only take a bite or too. The way everything is piled and stacked is generous, but each portion individually being dainty fits the style of the shop.
Only when the server leaves does she follow up — making sure her question isn't avoided:]
It's fine if you haven't thought that far ahead. I simply wish to know since a life without a goal is beyond what I can relate to.

eventually, he sighs, seeming to come to some kind of decision. ]
I have no plans to go home, and no wish that couldn't potentially ruin what I've left behind. So there's be no point in completing my deck. I'll play the game if I'm made to, to avoid any repercusions I wouldn't be able to walk back from, but as far as I'm concerned, this isn't some vacation, or a sorry excuse for a third chance.
[ third? ]
So, yes. I guess I am just taking it day by day.

I see. Then you wouldn't mind just becoming an asset to someone else? As long as it doesn't deepen the well of your sins, you're content with people drawing from you?
[This is not an accusation, but instead an "interview". An unspoken, "Can I call upon your services?" After all, sometimes it's a boon to work with someone who stands as total opposite to yourself. Hell — sometimes it's great just to have a person around who's tall enough to reach the top shelf without a step-stool.]

Do you have use for someone like me, Miss Rin?
[ well, they may as well cut to the chase. she finds him now in an odd juncture of his life, his non-life. he both knows who he is and what he's good for, but set adrift by the circumstances of this new situation and the very complicated one that he'd left behind. an unanchored ship, that'd once had only one direction to ever sail towards... or perhaps, more accurately, a weapon without any hand to wield it.
there is very little else he could do that would affect the depth of his sins. but she's right in assuming he would rather not cause more hurt, if he could. ]

[Is... is she calling "dibs"? Tohsaka reaches out to grab an egg-salad sandwich. When she bites down into the morsel the look on her face seems to show she thinks it's the most delightful snack before following up.]
The real question is this: if I were to call on you, would you answer?
no subject
he ducks his head, reaching out to help himself to one of the same type of sandwich she'd just indulged in. it's far smaller in his hands, possibly easily consumed in just one bite if he wanted. but he takes a small nibbling along a sharp corner all the same, as if just to test it out.
his expression isn't nearly as emphatic as hers, but she'd been right; it is a most delightful snack. ]
If you need me, I'll find a way to get to you.
no subject
I look forward to working with you.
[Yet a part of Rin cannot help but feel somewhat gutted. Stomach turning at the fact that her heart longs to hear those words again from another mouth. It's absurd, really. She only knew her familiar for the better part of a month. Yet their pact made it feel so much longer than that. At this point? She's been at the Golden Peacock longer than the days she spent enduring the Holy Grail War ten times over. Perhaps it's simply that she feels lonely with no one who truly knows her. Isolation of her own making.
After finishing her sandwich, Tohsaka washes it away with the last of her tea and stands. Carefully the young woman sidles out of the booth — leaving Marco with the majority of the tea sandwiches, the rest of the tea, and two more scones.]
Consider the extra here an advance. Everything is already charged to my watch, so stay as long as you like and make sure to have them bag the rest. You lie to them and say I requested to have any leftovers brought to my suite.

he sets the cup down just as she turns to him one last time, leaving room for a faint smile on his lips. ]
Thank you, Miss Rin.
[ for the food, for the consideration. for giving him the space to think about all this. perhaps a wiser man would have thought twice about signing himself away again but — this time had been entirely his choice. that alone feels like it makes all the difference he needs. ]
I hope to hear from you soon.
