[He knows, and he's not even offended. He's just giving her an easy explanation to smooth over some of the awkwardness born from her dramatic reaction to not getting Saber. Peony hums.]

I won't complain about that. But... is it all right if I stay like this for now? Being incorporeal really isn't my thing.

[Frankly, it's terrifying, but he won't burden her with his fears.]

Yes, that's fine. But if you're going to be like that all the time we'll need to find you some modern clothes.

[She'd suggest her dads just out of cheapness convenience, but just by looking at Peony she can tell he might not fit in them. Her dad was not a small man, but... he was definitely more slender than this Rider.

Rin begins to walk out of the dark study into the hall.]

The house has its own protections, so you won't have to worry too hard about protecting its perimeter. Just don't break anything while I'm asleep.

This was stuffy even thousands of years ago.

[Which is exactly why he's going to start taking off some of those layers as he follows after her. She'll be able to hear his jewelry clinking as it hits the floor. What he has on underneath all that mess is quite a bit simpler — an oversized white shirt with short sleeves, a dark blue shirt underneath it, and a pair of what amounts to ancient pajama pants, because wearing his pineapple pants would be too uncomfortable underneath his robes.

If she lets him undress that far, of course.]

[When she hears his heavy cape thud to the ground Rin spins, turning on her heels, to look back at him.]

What are you doing?

[DON'T UNDRESS? THAT'S LEWD.]

Getting comfortable. Why, are you the shy type?

[Hope not, because he's reaching behind himself to start undoing that heavy ceremonial robe. It's so big and loose that it drops right to the floor once he's got it undone. He is decent underneath, but still...]

No, I simply don't want a man walking around this house indecent while I am asleep.

[Think of her honor! Her purity! Well, to tell the truth she simply doesn't want to start padding around the house bleary eyed tomorrow morning and walk into a naked dude. Because she'd definitely do something embarrassing. Like scream. Or stare. Or scream while staring.]

What? I'm not indecent!

[Really, he's not. When he steps away from the mess he's made, he's still covered head to toe. Rin's guess was correct — there's no way Peony can wear her father's clothes. He's pretty thick. He pats his chest.]

There, see? It's not so bad, is it?

Then where will all your other trappings go while you aren't wearing them?

[She's your Master, not your mom.]

[Oh, right. Peony pauses, considering. They're part of him, aren't they? Then he should be able to just send them away, right?

There. They vanished.]

I think that will do nicely. Unless you really want to keep me all dressed up...

[The way he says it makes it sound like that would be dirty, somehow.]

[Bah!! She can tell he's teasing her. Color reaches her cheeks, but she does her best to hide it by plastering a fake smile on her face.]

If my Servant insists on dressing plainly then I will simply have to accept it. After all, you're already greedy enough to ask for the extra mana to stay materialized. Why stop there?

[It's so hard not to smile when Rin bites back, but Peony manages. He even colors too, glancing away dramatically.]

I can't help it...! Becoming one with a woman when I don't even know her name is too much, even for me.

[LEWD. THAT'S TOO LEWD!! In a flash Rin turns her back to him so he can't see her face. Color floods her cheeks and spills over to her ears. They feel like they're burning.]

Rin. My name is Tohsaka Rin. Now let your Master get some rest, Rider.

[And like that she's quick to take off. If Peony decides to watch her go he'll find she power walks down the opposite hall going into one of the rooms still on the second floor. He might notice many traces of magic around the house, but every one of them is incredibly faint. Traps for intruders — and those are just the ones he can sense.

Aside from that the Tohsaka home is quite spacious — especially for a home near a city in Japan. The yard is a manageable size, but the building itself has many different rooms, and looks like it used to house a family of four with a guest bedroom. Each hall has plenty of room for foot traffic, the kitchen and formal dining spaces are separate, and so on. There are many old books on magic, expensive looking furniture, and everything else you'd expect from a wealthy family.

He'll have plenty of time to take it all in. Rin doesn't stir until early afternoon. Groggily she pulls herself out of bed, brushes her hair, and then shuffles downstairs for breakfast in her pajamas and slippers.]
