[Tohsaka doesn't speak immediately. Her eyes flit about the crowd in the little restaurant as others chat cheerfully along with the clink and clatter of porcelain and silverware as others eat and drink.
Very well. She takes a slow breath and exhales before:]
December will mark a full year for me. If you're here long enough you'll start noticing a difference in the types of guests here. I consider them "lucid" and not. The non-lucid guests are those who stay here the longest. Over time many guests give up on their pursuit of finishing their decks and making their wish. Whether that be influence from the house, or because plenty of people are confirmed to be pulled here that have died remains uncertain. Those guests who fall into the House's promise of luxury and opulence are who I consider not to be lucid — rather I separate them as if they were in a dream rather than held outside of time and space without their consent.
I have a theory on how this place runs, but I'm reconsidering my stance on sharing it in public.
["J" had been so kind as to point her in the right direction over the watches made her bold, but Jin Mingming's implication that she should be more careful with her words in public has her cursing her previous arrogance.]
